Read about CCA's response to COVID-19 and frequently asked questions regarding remote learning and our school closure below.

How long will school be closed?

It has been determined that school will remain closed for the remainder of this academic year. Provisions for senior grade graduation are being discussed.

What is CCA's plan for distant learning?

All CCA teachers are working remotely to create and deliver distant learning curricula to students. Teachers are utilizing Thinkwave, Google Classrooms, Remind, packets and several other resources as a vehicle to deliver this remote learning.

How can I communicate with my student's teacher?

By now your teacher has been in contact with you regarding the best way to communicate with him or her.  Many teachers are utilizing Remind, text, email, video calling, and so on.  Please keep in mind that it takes extra time to respond to these messages. If your student needs help with assignments, their teacher is the best place to start with questions.

How will the CCA administration communicate with families?

Administrative staff will primarily communicate with families through Remind.

What are expectations for attendance and completion of schoolwork?

We know that many families are dealing with a tremendous amount of stress and struggling to balance work, health, family, and schoolwork.

--Is attendance being taken? Teachers are monitoring student participation in order to identify students who may need individual engagement or additional support.

--What happens if my child cannot complete their schoolwork on time? If you need additional assistance, please reach out to your child's teacher.

--Will students be graded on assignments and tests during the closure? Yes. Students are encouraged to engage with the assignments teachers are providing in order to maintain routines, connection to school, and good study habits. Teachers have adapted their curricula and grading systems accordingly per discipline and grade level.

What is the role of administrative staff during this time?

Every student- mission ready.

Every student--mission ready.  At Calvary Christian Academy we share a vision to raise up Christian leaders, men and women of God, who are prepared to take on the journey He has planned for them.  Wherever that path leads-- college, a career, a family, or the mission field, we desire that each student is equipped and ready to follow the calling on their life—to be mission ready.
